Forme, creatività, sperimentazione e tessuti hanno sempre fatto parte di lei. Sara Battaglia è cresciuta in un ambiente artistico: suo fratello maggiore è mercante d’arte, sua sorella fashion editor a Vogue Italia, l’altro fratello stylist e la mamma scultrice.
Con una famiglia del genere Sara non poteva che diventare una fashion designer di successo. A soli sedici anni ha creato la sua prima borsa, rubando la stoffa necessaria alla madre. Diplomatasi all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, a Milano, è da subito entrata nel mondo della moda grazie all’occasione offertale da Gabriele Corto – in arte Corto Moltedo – finalista del concorso Who is on Next? 2006. Qui, nel corso dei cinque anni passati a lavorare per lui, ha avuto modo di fare una full immersion a 360° nel mondo della moda: ha imparato a lavorare sui modelli e a trattare coi fornitori.
